Biograafia

Täpsus, soojus ja draamataju.

Eestis sündinud ja Berliinis elav Mihhail Gerts on dirigeerinud enam kui viitkümmet professionaalset orkestrit – nende seas on Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Staatskapelle Dresden, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France ja NHK Symphony Orchestra.

Ooper on tema töös kesksel kohal. Rahvusooper Estonia dirigendina (2007–2014) ning Hageni teatri esimese kapellmeistri ja peamuusikajuhi asetäitjana (2015–2017) juhatas ta üle neljakümne ooperi- ja balletilavastuse, hiljem on ta dirigeerinud ka Veneetsia Teatro La Fenices ja Opéra de Saint-Étienne’is.

Tema repertuaar ulatub Monteverdist ja Bachist Brahmsi, Raveli ja Prokofjevini ning Arvo Pärdist tänapäeva maailmaesiettekanneteni. TubIN festivali asutaja ja kunstilise juhina on ta Eduard Tubina muusika pühendunud eestkõneleja.
