2. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Virtuaal (virtuaal.com), a hosting provider based in Estonia, within the European Union. When you visit the site, the server automatically records the technical information your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system.
This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period and are not combined with any other data.
3. Contact by email
If you write to info@mihhailgerts.com, your email address and the content of your message are used only to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and are kept only as long as the correspondence requires. Messages sent to general management at Maestro Arts are handled by Maestro Arts under their own privacy policy.
4. Cookies and Google Analytics
With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It helps to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited, for how long, from which type of device, and from which country or city.
- Google Analytics is only loaded if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.
- Cookies used:
_gaand_ga_J8XHL2BJTT, which store a random identifier for up to two years. - According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features are not used.
- Analytics data is deleted automatically after the retention period set in Google Analytics (at most 14 months).
- Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future: open cookie settings. Your choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage so that the notice does not reappear on every page; this is strictly necessary (§ 25(2) TDDDG).
5. YouTube videos
Performance videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The preview images are stored on this website, so nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, your browser connects to Google’s servers: Google receives your IP address and may store cookies or similar data on your device. The provider is Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis: your consent by pressing play (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). More information: Google privacy policy.
6. Fonts and external links
All fonts and images are hosted on this website; your browser does not connect to third-party servers such as Google Fonts to display the page. Links to other websites (for example YouTube, Dropbox, Maestro Arts or the photographer’s website) are ordinary links. The other site’s privacy policy applies once you follow them.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data held about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17)
- restrict its processing (Art. 18) and receive it in a portable format (Art. 20)
